Describe how your communication and actions would be adapted to be able to effectively communicate with a 3-year-old compared to a 12-year-old. Communication in nursing must align with the unique needs of the patients. In that case, the communication approaches that I would use for a 3-year-old child and a 12-year-old child would be different. Specifically, when communicating with the two, my interactions would differ in depth of medical discussions, independence, and interaction approach (Alqarawi & Alhalal, 2024).
